Pickerings 2025 Wrap up

2025 has been a milestone year for Pickerings, filled with project successes, industry recognition, community initiatives, events, and exciting developments across the business. Here’s a month-by-month look at the highlights from the year.

January: Expanding Our Northern Presence

The year began with the opening of our new Manchester depot, strengthening our regional footprint and enhancing our ability to support customers across the North West.

February: Accreditations and Industry Recognition

In February, Pickerings achieved NPORS Accreditation, became a Verified RISQS Supplier, and received a Certificate of Membership to ALLMI, reinforcing our commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.

March: Social Impact and Fundraising

March saw the team support Red Nose Day, raising funds for Comic Relief. We also delivered a social value project supporting Charnwood Forest Alpacas from our Measham depot.

April: Celebrating International Women’s Day

We marked International Women’s Day with a dedicated campaign celebrating the achievements and contributions of women across Pickerings and the wider construction industry.

May: Awards and Events

May was a standout month as Pickerings won Best Temporary Building Project – Private Sector at the Modern Methods of Construction Awards. We also exhibited at the ISBA Conference and Schools & Academies Show (London).

June: Community Support, Events and Sustainability

June included social value initiatives such as Easter donations to Michael Syddall School (Teesside depot) and support for Help Harry Help Others from our Birmingham depot. We also achieved Positive Planet Certified – Bronze status, recognising our sustainability efforts. We also exhibited for the first time at Multimodal.

July: Industry Leadership

Our Business Development Manager, Chris, represented Pickerings on the Transformation Hub panel at UK Construction Week.

August: Summer Campaigns and Project Progress

We launched our Summer Spotlight campaign and shared project updates for our Highams Park School and Brackenfield, highlighting progress across key education and infrastructure projects.

September: Exhibitions and Education Sector Focus

We attended the Education Forum Conference. We also published the M W Benney case study and were nominated for the Education Today Award.

October: Exhibitions and Social Value

October was busy with Pickerings attending the Kent Construction Expo, Schools & Academies Show (Birmingham), and Public Spaces Expo. We also supported several community initiatives, including Golborne Parkside Bowling Club, Hillsborough Hornets Disability FC, and Nuneaton BMX Club.

November: Campaigns, Events and Milestones

November saw the launch of the Pickerings Safety Superhero campaign and Pickerings Pulse on LinkedIn. We attended East Midlands Expo. We also celebrated Eileen’s 40 years of service, a truly remarkable milestone.

December: Festive Giving and Reflection

The year concluded with a strong focus on giving back, including Crisis at Christmas, the Dunelm appeal, Christmas Jumper Day fundraising, and the DIY SOS: Scott Siblings’ New Chapter project supported by our Kent depot. We also launched our Why Choose Pickerings Christmas campaign, and published final case studies including Highams Park School, EGL2 Wren Hall Converter Station, and Wakefield Council.

 

Throughout 2025, Pickerings has continued to demonstrate excellence across projects, people, and communities. From major award wins and accreditations to meaningful social value initiatives, the year reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality solutions while making a positive impact.
