Reporting to: Managing Director

However, the relationship and rapport with general managers, external sales, and customers are crucial to assist in the aspiration of 100% customer service satisfaction.

To support the General Managers and external sales within Pickerings Hire Ltd. Delivering Customer Service Excellence through a regionalised depot function and working with a team of Internal sales. We are looking for a high-performing Sales Office Manager to help us meet our revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximising our sales team potential, crafting sales plans, and justifying those plans to senior management.

Key Duties

  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of internal sales representatives
  • Support external sales in breaking into new markets
  • Completing paperwork thoroughly and accurately
  • Comply with and embrace the Pickerings Hire Health & Safety culture and policies
  • Understand and comply with all relevant Company rules, agreements, policies, procedures and with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice
  • Act in a professional manner, ensure good working relationships are always maintained and promote a good image of the Company
  • To build, manage and maintain a substantial pipeline and to ensure that all pipeline activity is accurately documented and kept up to date in Salesforce

Key Factors for Success

Success in 6 months will include:

  • To establish themselves within the team and be aware of Pickerings Hire policies and standard operating procedures relevant to task, ensuring all required documentation is completed. Keeping focus on conversion rates and lost hires
  • Good working knowledge of the Pickerings Hire product range

Success in 1 year will include:

  • Full understanding of Sales Force
  • A good working knowledge of our customer base
  • To actively and professionally manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and lead management to prospecting, arranging appointments, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating, closing, and handing over new accounts to the account management team

Requirements (including key skills & experience)

  • High level of drive, energy, and initiative; entrepreneurial, proactive, focused, tenacious, committed, and with high standards
  • Relevant experience selling in the hire industry products and services with an impressive track record
  • Excellent listening, negotiating, influencing, and closing skills
  • Numerate and literate with excellent communication skills. Able to deliver clear and concise ideas to internal and external stakeholders and produce top quality written proposals and presentations
  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data, and research quickly – and distil the most important/relevant
  • Desire to lead, influence and coach others
  • Other Considerations
  • A full driving license
  • May need to stay overnight occasionally
  • Worked within the hire industry
