About you

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall operational responsibility for project delivery. 

Ensuring that all work is carried out safely, on time and maximizing margins whilst maintaining quality standards.

Responsible for

  • You will oversee and deliver a range of modular projects from pre planning to on time handover
  • Successfully co ordinating construction and installation of modular buildings on client sites
  • Provide support to Site Managers in all aspects and areas of working practice (i.e. H&S, Quality)
  • Complete site surveys and regular site visits to ensure effectiveness and client relationship
  • Provide all documentation for the project (i.e. method statements, ITP's)
  • Work with the depot lead to ensure the budgets are maintained for the delivery of the scheme, report additions or disputes
  • Attend and provide internal meetings, review and feedback of projects

Health & Safety

  • Complying with and managing all Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and /or Company procedure relating to Health and Safety and the welfare of self and others at all times in the depot and on sites
  • Promoting the culture of a safe working environment and actively encouraging feedback and ideas to improve the safety of the working environment – everyone’s responsibility
  • Manage the depot and site Risk Assessments & Method Statements (R.A.M.S) and adhere to the Health and Safety policies on depot and onsite at all times.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments & Method Statements (R.A.M.S), drawings and delivery schedules are in place, as required, on a project specific
  • All direct employees work to and have signed the relevant R.A.M.S according to their job description and duties in line with the company policies and procedures
  • Write site specific RAMS, where necessary, liaising with Head of Safety, heath, Health & Safety manager
  • The full compliance of Health and safety audits. All recommended actions are completed within reasonable timescale
  • Reporting near misses and accidents – actioning any next steps to prevent reoccurrence
  • Ensuring everyone is fully compliant of the 4C’s within the yard at all times including visitors
  • Ensuring the team comply within the Working Time Directive (WTD)
  • Ensuring toolbox talks are delivered in an environment where there is open two – way communication

Customers

  • Professional and effective communication to provide excellent service throughout customer experience
  • Manage all correspondence, documentation and information relating to the project to customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Ensuring customers’ expectations are managed effectively

Operations

  • Projects are delivered in accordance with appropriate Health and Safety and Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations and good practice
  • Manage project installations and dismantles, ensuring that projects are completed within planed costs and timescales.
  • Ensuring projects are planned and all necessary resources are in place and managed. Including labor, materials, and subcontract requirements
  • Projects delivered within agreed timescales
  • Projects delivered within agreed planned costs
  • Reviewing and analyzing spend against planned costs to keep within agreed planned costs
  • Effectively manage change to scope and specification whilst maintaining customer expectations
  • All project changes, variations and updates are shared with key stakeholders within realistic timescales
  • Plans are updated as each phase is completed. Using tools to support such as Gannt Charts, one note and insphire
  • Initiate and lead project meetings with all relevant stakeholders ensuring clear accountabilities and project success
  • Overall responsibility of quality of units and presentation
  • Ownership of project management ensuring all equipment is readily available including correct staffing levels, tools, equipment
  • Responsible for the management and procurement of yard materials
  • Reviewing and ensuring all hire items have had PDI and electrical testing before hire commences. Suitably filed
  • Responsible for ensuring the correct equipment is readily available so the units are delivered on time to a high standard
  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of the operations and efficiency
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions that may be necessary to the performance of my duties
  • Comply with and uphold company policies and procedures
  • Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time​
