We design and supply solutions to a diverse customer base, including schools needing extra classrooms, commercial businesses needing additional office space and construction sites needing a complex of offices and welfare facilities.
The Role
As Head of SHEQ, you will lead our commitment to protecting people, safeguarding the environment, and ensuring the highest quality standards across all operations. You will develop and drive SHEQ strategy, maintain compliance with legislation and ISO standards, and inspire a proactive safety and quality culture throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SHEQ policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and ISO standards.
- Conduct and oversee risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Drive a proactive safety culture and champion employee engagement in SHEQ initiatives.
- Oversee environmental impact management and sustainability strategies.
- Maintain and enhance quality management systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Provide SHEQ training, guidance, and leadership to managers and employees.
- Report SHEQ performance metrics to the executive team and recommend improvements.
About You
- You will hold a Degree in Safety Management, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of SHEQ-related legislation, ISO standards, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of leading teams and influencing organizational culture., ideally in construction, plant hire, or a related industry.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for driving positive change.
- Full UK driving licence as travel to sites will be required.
