Pickerings Becomes Registered Supplier to the Considerate Constructors Scheme
Pickerings, the fastest growing provider of modular buildings and portable cabins, has been accredited as a registered supplier with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). Pickerings is one of only a small number of suppliers in the portable buildings industry that are registered with CCS.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is an independent organisation founded by the construction industry to improve its image. The Scheme is nationally recognised and endorsed by local authorities, the Government, main contractors and major industry clients.
As part of their accreditation several Pickerings locations were independently assessed by experienced professionals to check they were conforming to the CCS Code of Considerate Practice designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. It covers the following categories; care about appearance; secure everyone’s safety; value their workforce; respect the community; protect the environment.
Pickerings scored highly in the assessments at all the locations that were monitored.
Pickerings Managing Director, Neil Moss, said, “We are very pleased to become a registered supplier to the Considerate Constructors Scheme and to have scored so highly in the assessments. Our customers tell us that Pickerings is really making a difference to their site working conditions by supplying high quality portable buildings and excellent customer service to match. We will continue to work to achieve high standards of the scheme’s Code of Practice.”
Pickerings has hire depots strategically placed in Middlesbrough, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Birmingham, Northampton, Aylesbury, Sittingbourne, Southampton, Swindon and Exeter. The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019 and its head office is at Measham in the heart of the Midlands.
